About Us


The Globe houses staff from the Center for Global Engagement and the Center for Leasdership and Social Change.

The Globe is a state-of-the-art facility certified by the US Green Building Council as a Gold LEED-Certified Building (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) It is the first public building in Tallahassee to achieve gold certificationa state-of-the-art facility.This 44,000 sq. ft. building was designed to promote student engagement and interaction among diverse groups within the university community. There are a variety of spaces for programs, workshops, performances and meetings, as well as special events.

We have public spaces students can visit or hang out in such as the Student lounge with 65" LCD TV, the Reflections Art Gallery, and the Globe Café Dining area. We also have a Meditation Room that is available to any member of the Florida State community that seeks a quiet, simple place to reflect or meditate. No reservations necessary and open 8 am -5 pm M-F.
